October Fun!

I guess I wasn't meant for this blogging thing-I love to look at other people's blogs but have trouble adding to mine.

We had our fist awards day at church after & here is a picture of my friends who had perfect attendance the first nine weeks:

Gus, Melanie, Andrew, Avery M, Mia, and Adriano

Below is a picture of our friend Avery M. She was our Christian Attitude Award winner for the first nine weeks!

We had a blast at our Halloween party-quite a bunch of characters!

I will try to catch up a little bit more this weekend! Thanks for checking out our page!

Fall Fun

Well, I am already falling behind! We took a walking field trip to the fire station October 4; the boys and girls had a great time. Firefighter Veshlage was awesome with our kids  and we loved meeeting Fire Pup!

Because of our 90-minute reading block, we thought we were going to have to give up centers. We decided to try to do centers on Tuesday afternoons, and it seems to be working out great.  Here are a couple of pictures from our first two center-days.

We are lucky to have Linda Hofer helping us with Math Pentathlon games again this year; the boys and girls really enjoy learning to play these games.

Jolene's last day was Tuesday; we loved Jolene and hated to see her go.  Here are a few pictures of our little friend from Texas!

Thanks for checking in!

Field Trips!

Well, we have been on two field trips the last two Tuesdays! Last Tuesday we walked to the Seymour Police Department.  Officer Bevers was awesome & very patient with us.  We enjoyed it all, but we were most interested in his handcuffs, guns, and taser!

Yesterday we went to Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana.  It was a cool, cloudy, windy day in the morning, but the sun decided to shine after lunch.  We heard a presentation from 'Johnny Appleseed,' found out about apples, picked our own bag of apples, picked a pumpkin, played and petted the animals.  It was a great day and a great field trip; thanks to all the parents and grandmother  who drove  and joined us!
